Fancy a bit of BBQ heaven to go with your coffee? Head to the Stockyard at Melton and enjoy some smokey goodness by Feast and the Furious! Established in 2017 by BBQ King Jon, Feast and the Furious comes from a love of all things smoked and barbecued. A passion turned into a hobby, which formed a business.
Where is the Smokehouse?
Originally a food truck, Feast and the Furious have recently opened the doors of their first brick-and-mortar location. You can find them at the Stockyard at Melton Mowbray’s Cattle Market. Alongside a banging cup of Two Chimps Coffee, you can experience an amazing array of tasty smoked and barbecued goodness.
Although the food truck is no more, its legacy lives on in the menu at the Stockyard. Enjoy a smoked brisket in a locally made brioche roll with mayo, sweet onion, cucumber pickles, and the famous Furious BBQ sauce. Also on offer is a bun loaded with smoked pulled pork, mayo, and red cabbage slaw. If you’re not a meat eater, there are still many options; don’t worry! Grab a cold smoked halloumi wrap with salad leaves and hummus with a unique fruity pineapple and mango hot sauce.
All this smoky BBQ goodness is available to eat in or takeaway. While in the building, you can also grab some amazing produce from the store. Everything from bottles of their signature hot sauces and smoked biltong to smoked garlic and their award-winning smoked vegan cheeze. Also, they’ve snagged Great Taste Awards for their smoked almonds and smoked stilton!
What are the opening times?
The Smokehouse opening hours are Tuesdays and Fridays from 8am to 1pm, with hot food served on Fridays from 5pm to 8pm, and Stockyard Saturdays from 12pm to 6pm. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for details.
If you can’t make it to the Stockyard, you can still catch Feast and the Furious out and about. They regularly attend markets in the local area, including the Melton Mowbray and West Bridgford Farmer’s Markets. Alternatively, you can grab some Feast and the Furious goodies from several stockists including Hilltop Farm Shop in Melton, and Croxton Village shop in Croxton Kerrial. You can find details of all Feast and the Furious stockists on their website.
If you live a bit further away, or just like the sound of home delivery, you can order online from the website. All the awesome smokehouse produce is on sale there, alongside home smoking equipment and even Feast and the Furious merch. Check it out here.
