BizX Liverpool – Part 2.

30th April 2024

Our head chimps have returned from their adventure at BizX, and they aren’t empty-handed…

Our head chimps are back! If you have read our previous blog or kept up to date on our social platforms, Andy and Laura attended the BizX conference held at the King’s Dock in Liverpool. This high-impact, two-day event saw our chimps explore, discuss, and learn new strategies from qualified professionals. We believe every day is a school day, and this experience has led to Andy and Laura leaving with invaluable knowledge that can be implemented in Two Chimps Coffee!

The event concluded with an Awards Ceremony hosted by TV presenter Stephen Mulhern. During this, companies across 18 categories were crowned for their efforts, including the most innovative marketing campaign and e-commerce business.

One category that stood out to us was the Green Company of the Year. This is awarded to a brand with successful green projects and innovations, which we have always considered and applied across Two Chimps. With the encouragement of our Action Coach Rupert, we entered this category…

…and we are excited to say that we were finalists! Go chimps!

Since Two Chimps was founded, Andy and Laura have always kept the planet in mind. Whether that’s recyclable packaging or ensuring all light switches and plugs are turned off at the end of every day, every little helps combat climate change. We have also worked with Ecologi and Positive Planet and are proud to say we are now carbon-neutral! So, sit back and enjoy your coffee without the footprint. Wahoo!

We do as much as possible to ensure everybody gets the best of the best whilst being environmentally sound, and this also applies to our awesome farmers. We source all our speciality coffees from smallholders and co-operatives via a small supply chain, paying 30-120% more than the industry rate to ensure our farmers a sustainable livelihood.

By receiving a fair price, they have avoided switching to environmentally damaging professions such as illegal logging. In addition to hand-picking every cherry, they keep everything as green as possible compared to large-scale production, such as machinery, which can cause long-term harmful effects on the soil.
