Well look no further. The Wine Room at Mapperley now serves the best freshly roasted coffee in Nottingham!
After a long week at work, everyone loves to go out for a few drinks at the weekend… Maybe more than a few! It’s the time to catch up with your mates and find out what the talk of the town is; even if you’ve forgotten it by the morning!
If you’re looking for somewhere to grab some drinks with your friends, we’ve got just the place.
An All-New Wine Bar…
The Wine Room in Mapperley is an all-new wine bar where you can expect to taste some impressive wines, beers, ciders and spirits.
As well as a great selection of drinks, The Wine Room also has some delicious sharing boards of charcuterie, cheeses, breads and desserts to choose from. They even have a Sunday lunch platter! The various platters and sharing boards have been designed to be paired with their large variety of wines. If you’re really enjoying the wine you’re drinking, and you’re concerned you will never find it again, don’t panic! Every wine at The Wine Room can be purchased by the bottle to take home too.
The Wine Room’s ethos is “To provide a relaxed and comfy atmosphere where you can enjoy quality wine with friends.” We agree.
Throughout the year, The Wine Room aims to host plenty of wine tasting events aimed at both people who have a love of wine already and those of us (like me) who are new to the world of wine.
Debbie and Peter’s mutual love of wine bought them together to create this fantastic wine bar. Debbie is a WSET (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) Diploma Graduate. She has years of experience in the hospitality industry and also runs the NottsDerby Wine School. The school runs wine tasting sessions, teaching its attendees where to find the best wines and for the best prices. Peter has been in retail and hospitality positions for the last 17 years too. It’s safe to say that these two know their stuff!
Chimps in Nottingham
As well as serving some excellent alcoholic drinks, The Wine Room is now serving Two Chimps freshly roasted coffee in Nottingham! Currently, you will find our Guatemalan coffee, ‘The Cat’s Pyjamas’ and our decaffeinated coffee ‘Knickers & Gnomes’ from Rwanda. They also serve some awesome loose leaf tea supplied by the team at Two Chimps too
The Cat’s Pyjamas is a silky smooth, sweet & full-bodied coffee with an apple-like acidity, especially when an espresso machine has been used to brew. It has strong hints of chocolate which subside into hazelnut as it cools.
Our sparkling water decaffeinated coffee ‘Knickers & Gnomes’ is a moreish coffee with a soft acidity. This decaf is silky smooth with mentions of toasted marshmallow & cocoa.
