Lockdown is lifting! Where can I find Two Chimps Coffee after 17th May?

We are excited to get back to something like normal on 17th May and can’t wait to see our lovely wholesale stockists open their doors again.

We’ve all found a new appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. The coffee shop trips, the picnics in the park – how true is it that you don’t miss what you’ve got until it’s gone?

Bit by bit, life is getting back to normal, with 17th May being a major step in the Journey to Lovely Ordinariness. We know that staycations are big this year, so why not savour what’s on your doorstep by supporting some friendly independent businesses? A whole range of small businesses stock Two Chimps Coffee, both in the Midlands and further afield. Here are some of the places we can’t wait to visit again this spring!

Coffee in a café – what could be better!

Many indie cafes stayed open during lockdown. Hats off to them; bringing coffee shop culture to park benches and picnic blankets can’t have been easy. Some of our favourite takeaway champions include Off the Beaten Path in Melton Mowbray, The Larder in Oakham, The Roade House café bar in Northamptonshire and Breward’s coffee shop and bakery in Mountsorrel – the independent training café that helps young adults to learn new skills.

Plenty more awesome cafes will be re-opening indoors on 17th May. The espresso machines are ready; the cakes are in the oven! We are drooling at the door with puppy dog eyes…

Take The Art Café in Cromer. It’s perfect for layer cake and Two Chimps Coffee surrounded by beautiful local artwork. The menu is uber-cool and the cake range ever-changing: think Cromer crab salads and bumper Hot Chocolate Drip Cake. We’re also head-over-heels for the drinks menu. From blackberry lemonade to every type of coffee, The Art House Café is the place to go for something a bit different.

The Buttonhole café in Wing, Rutland, is another unmissable stop-off. Now under new management, The Buttonhole menu has just enjoyed a chic new facelift. The café is open from morning (fancy a cool brunch?) till night (cocktails and small plates are a must) and everything in between (cake!). The Buttonhole’s menu caters for all ages and every diet, so be sure to pop along!

Looking to get away?

Hotels, hostels and B&Bs can now join the self-catering apartments in re-opening their doors. Yay – holibobs! Luckily, there are some ace Two Chimps stockists just perfect for that much-needed getaway.

If you fancy a night away in pretty Uppingham, look no further than The Crown. This quaint 17th-century coaching inn is perfect for rooms with character, food with flair and real ales that pack a punch! New refurbishments mean that the hotel and restaurant won’t be open until 21st May, but the team are taking bookings now!

Rutland Point is another stunning option. The boutique apartments combine cool, quirky décor with countryside elegance. It’s a storyboard for plush relaxation, with six gorgeous residences that are ideal for short stays without any fuss. The fashionable café and bar will keep you happy from morning till night. There’s a modern Indian menu too, where you’ll discover adventurous new options like black pepper chicken tikka and masala chips alongside all the curry house classics you know and love.

Lotions, potions and Two Chimps Coffee: could there be a better self-care treat?

Be sure to join Equilibrium Gym this spring. It’s THE place to sweat in style. Curated training programs and classes of all kinds keep everyone happy, while the newly opened Ketton Gym provides a workout space jam-packed with the latest equipment. Yes!

Finally, make the little ones giggle with a trip to The Yard in Stamford. This luxury soft play area is an adventure palace for tots! The elegant pastel palette and yummy menu will make adults smile too!
