We are on a mission. We want to introduce you to better, tastier coffee in very special surroundings. If modern-styled cafes, ready to equip the everyday laptop users are not your cup of tea (!) then read on to find out about a local village pub upping their coffee game with a new espresso coffee.

In the sleepy Rutland village of Market Overton, you will find the thatched roofed gem that is the Black Bull. This traditional village pub and its warm surroundings are ready to welcome you with local real ales and seasonal, home cooked food. Throughout the colder months, you will find roaring fires completing the cosy atmosphere.

Not only does this pub offer delicious food and drink, but they also have rooms on a bed and breakfast basis. All rooms at the Black Bull come with a complimentary full English, Irish or vegetarian breakfast too, along with free wifi.

Events

During the festive season, Adam and his team host an array of events, such as a ‘Sip and Shop’ event. This particular evening includes a range of collections from artists and designers based in the local area, including Katie Cardew Illustrations and Stella 7 Dot to name a couple.

Their New Years Eve Sharing menu has got some delicious starters, mains and desserts to see 2019 in too.
Throughout the coming months, you will find local bands playing at the pub; all of which are sure to draw a crowd. In the past, acts have included ‘The Reason’ and ‘Bodgers Mate’. These events, along with ‘fish and chip Friday’ and ‘quiz nights’, prove to be very popular with the local community, and it’s a great way to bring everybody together.

Known for their yummy steaks, warm welcome and wonderful atmosphere, the Black Bull has a ‘love local’ policy wherever possible. This village pub already uses local meats, wines, ales and soft drinks and now, they have locally roasted coffee too.

The Coffee

The coffee now available at the Black Bull in Market Overton is an espresso coffee. This single origin coffee has been carefully roasted a little darker to suit an espresso machine. Don’t worry, we still keep its natural sweetness and taste. Like all of the coffees we offer, this espresso coffee has been ethically sourced and hand roasted in a small batch at our roastery in Rutland.

Also available as an espresso-based coffee, you will find a 100% chemical free sparkling water decaffeinated coffee. Both of these coffees work perfectly with or without milk too.

Fresh

After freshly roasting our coffees, we hand deliver to the Black Bull. It’s nice to see the owners, but more importantly, we are always on hand to help with any coffee related queries that may arise. We are firm believers of ‘fresh is best’ and with this ethos in mind, we freshly roast and deliver each and every week.
