The National Watersports Festival 2018
Introducing the event that everyone is still talking about!
We were lucky enough to be a part of this 3-day event at Rutland Water and, WOW, what a weekend it was!
Although the National Watersports Festival has been running for many years now, this was just the second year that it had been hosted at Rutland Water. The 3-day, jam-packed weekend consisted of all levels of racing in windsurfing and stand up paddle boarding, taster sessions in dinghy sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, diving and SUP. Experts in all areas were on hand to answer questions and offer advice and techniques in their field along with specialist companies to provide you with all the equipment you could ever want! As part of the weekend, there was also a showcase of local food and drink producers providing hot and cold food and drink.
1000’s flocked to Rutland Water on Friday and set up camp for the weekend. Live music in the evenings kept everyone entertained along with a fully licensed and stocked bar from the Grainstore Brewery. What more could you want?!?
The team at Two Chimps Coffee spent the weekend satisfying everyone’s coffee, tea and hot chocolate needs.
The Grainstore Brewery provided the hangovers, and we cured them!
The Coffee
At the coffee bar, we served up The Tiny Horse from El Salvador. This is a smooth, creamy and sweet coffee which we served through an espresso machine.
On the filter machine we offered our Mexican coffee, Not Going Right? Go Left.
Alongside the freshly roasted coffee, we were serving loose leaf tea. Both breakfast tea and Ginseng and Pineapple tea from local producers, The Snail and Rabbit made an appearance. For those with the sweet tooth, our ‘B is for Brownie’ Hot chocolate, made in Ryhall, went down a treat.
What a cracking weekend filled with laughs, live music, watersports, beer, amazing people and, of course, coffee.
