Two Chimps Coffee Named Finalists in Two Categories at BizX 2026

13th May 2026

Head Chimps Andy and Laura recently boarded the train to Newport ahead of BizX 2026 with the aim of learning from other business owners at one of the UK’s largest business and networking events – little did they know that they’d be returning with not one, but TWO certificates from the glitzy awards ceremony that closed the event.

A great opportunity to mix with other business owners, share contact details and identify new strategies to implement back at the roastery in Rutland, BizX is known for being one of the most difficult awards ceremonies in which to receive recognition.

What is BizX, and why were we there?

BizX is run by the business coaching company ActionCoach. Action Coach is a worldwide organisation, dedidcated to helping people in business succeed, be happy and be the best they can be.

The event is aimed at small and large business owners, keeping them up to date with trends and innovations while also giving them an opportunity to hear from big-name, successful speakers such as Deborah Meaden from Dragon’s Den and, at the 2026 event, former England football manager Gareth Southgate.

BizX is a two-day event, and Two Chimps Coffee secured an exclusive place on the bonus session the day before which was hosted by Sky who spoke about their forthcoming AdSmart programme designed to help small and medium businesses reach their target audience.

This was followed by a meet-and-greet with other business owners and food in the evening, before the main conference, hosted by Kirsty Gallacher, started on Thursday morning. The conference centre was filled with numerous great speakers who were presenting on topics such as mindset, social media trends, and customer service.

In the words of Head Chimp Laura, “When you walk into the room, it’s all very surreal. It’s not like a typical conference hall, there are four huge screens, and it’s all lit up with star lights, and it feels like you’re going to a show rather than a conference – in a good way!”

The conference was followed by the awards dinner, where the Two Chimps team received some very exciting news.

Mind-blowing recognition

Having gone through a lengthy application process, the Two Chimps team received a ‘thanks for entering email’ in advance of the awards, but no confirmation that we had made the shortlist of finalists or that we were in with a chance of winning.

After sitting in the conferences, taking notes and losing their minds when the speaker from Sky used the Two Chimps brand as an example in his presentation, Andy and Laura were in the room when the logo appeared on the big screen, not once, but twice, as we made the final five in the category.

Best E-Commerce Business Finalists

The first category in which we made an appearance on the famous BizX Board was Best E-commerce business. In this category, the judges were looking for “companies that set the standard for online excellence and customer journey design.”

They also wanted clear evidence of “strong growth and customer engagement online, a clear e-commerce strategy and platform expertise, the innovative use of technology to enhance user experience and a forward-thinking approach to the future of commerce.”

To reach the final five nominees in this category was an incredible achievement for the entire Two Chimps Coffee team, who all come together to ensure that our online presence and activity are as seamless as possible and that all our customers love using our website and coming back for more.

Finalists in Green Company of the Year

Now, if you know Two Chimps Coffee at all, and you do if you’re reading this, you’ll know how much we all care about our planet. We take sustainability seriously, so being named finalists for Green Company of the Year means a lot.

We’ve invested in solar panels, EV chargers, and recycled packaging, so being recognised in a category that looks for “companies that take sustainability seriously – leading by example and driving positive environmental impact” shows that we’re doing the right thing.

We’ve set a target to achieve Net Zero by 2040, and this is evidence that we’re on the right track.

A few words from Laura

On receiving the recognition, Laura said, “Getting on the board was just amazing. We sat with three or four other companies who said they’ve been entering the BizX awards for a number of years and have never made it to the big screen of finalists, so for us to do that twice on the night was very cool indeed.

“It was a good three days, and we came home with lots of notes. Not too many that we couldn’t manage or do anything with, but we tried to take some achievable tasks away with us “We’ve already booked and are looking forward to going back next year.”
