Two Chimps Host VIP Barista Event for Coffee Subscribers

On Saturday 16 May we opened the roastery doors for a very exclusive event.

Every year, we invite our coffee subscribers to take part in invitation-only experiences at the Two Chimps roastery, with spaces limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The experiences change each time, and we try to cover as much as possible about coffee: from roasting and sourcing to brewing, tasting, and much more!

This VIP event is just one way we thank our coffee subscribers, and it’s another exclusive perk for those who subscribe with us. It’s open to every subscriber, whether you buy weekly or monthly, and regardless of your location, and it was great for us to be able to meet some of you, many for the first time!

Being able to put faces to the names we see on orders and speak about the wonderful world of specialty coffee is something we just love, and we can’t wait to do it all again next time.

What happened in the session?

This session was a Barista Basics Workshop, designed for all those home baristas out there! We could’ve spoken about coffee for hours, but there was barista training to be done!

As part of the session, our guests were given additional insights into specialty coffee, including how to dial in their espresso machines to achieve gold-standard extraction levels they may not otherwise have at home, enabling them to make small adjustments to get maximum flavour from their Two Chimps Coffee.

Head Chimp Andy also gave a latte art tutorial, explaining how to use the milk to create wonderful designs on top of the coffee (using a fantastic diving analogy), as well as top tips for pouring the milk with just a finger and a thumb. All of our subscribers receive an exclusive email with a link to secure a place on a first-come, first-served basis. Everyone else who registers their interest is added to a waiting list in case people are unable to come, or if we are able to put on another session.
