Want to visit the coffee roastery to see where the magic happens?

Superb; we love talking to anyone who will listen about coffee! Find our opening times and some tips as you read on my coffee adorning friends.

Firstly, we are not a shop per se. We sell most of our freshly roasted coffee online through our web store. That isn’t to say you cannot visit the coffee roastery, just that we are hidden away a little, and you may need help trying to find us.

Our top tip would be to call ahead if you are planning a visit. We are often at the roastery at strange times during the day, and sometimes, there may be no one here at all if the team are delivering or meeting customers. To avoid a wasted journey, call us on 01572 774389 before you set off.

Ordinarily, however, there will be someone here to greet you between 7 am and 4 pm Monday to Friday. Often, there is someone here until 5.30 pm in the evening too, but best to check.

We are usually around over the weekends also; all be it at sporadic times. If you would like to visit the roastery at the weekend, just give us a call.

Why would I want to visit the roastery?

You can visit for a number of reasons. For a chat and some advice about coffee is one. You can arrange to click and collect too if you like. Or, you can pop up and choose your coffee there and then. We even grind this fresh to order, while you wait; how cool is that! Oh, and it smells AMAZING here too; that’s another reason to pay us a visit!

We can also help you if you are looking for a new brew device, or looking for some of the world’s coolest coffee merchandise. We have mugs and T-shirts, to name a few!

COVID 19

During the pandemic, we are following all guidelines set out by the government extremely closely. As these are updated, so are the measures we have in place. Currently, face masks must be worn on site and the sanitiser at the door must be used upon entry. Press the bell, and a member of the team will be with you, masked up, shortly.

To give you an idea on how we change to suit, during the most recent lockdown in November 2020, we had to close our doors to the public and offer a click and collect service only.

We are based on an old prison site. It is superbly quirky, but a little scary after dark!

To find us, head out of Oakham on the Ashwell Road. Pass Oakham Vets on your right and continue for a mile or so, until you reach a mini-roundabout. At this, continue straight over and take the second entrance on your right. To help, the first has a blue gate; the second is much wider.

Enter the site, and in front of you, you will see a map. We are located in the Yellow zone. Turn immediately left, putting the map now on your right-hand side. Head down through a set of prison gates, and you will find a building in front of you. Follow this building round to the left and then turn immediately right, up the back of the building. In front of you, you will see the Two Chimps sign, up high on the side of a two-storey building on your left.

You have found us!

We do have a set of outside stairs to enter the building. Due to the age of the building, there is no other way in, unfortunately. If you need assistance with the stairs, or you would like us to bring your freshly roasted coffee to you in your car instead, just call, and one of the team will happily pop to see you.

If you live locally to us at the roastery, we will deliver your coffee for you instead. We deliver to Oakham, Barleythorpe and the close villages every night. We also hand-deliver awesome coffee to Stamford and its surrounding villages every Wednesday. If you live in Melton Mowbray or one of the villages surrounding, we deliver every Thursday too.

Or order coffee online. We post each day with fast and free 1st class tracked delivery over £25 . What’s more, if you place an order before noon, we dispatch on the same day for you too.
