Iced White Chocolate Mocha
25th May 2022

Save your pennies this summer and make the Starbucks Iced White Chocolate Mocha at home!

It’s a hot, sunny day. The kind that makes you wonder whether snow is really a thing. You fancy a lovely, sweet drink… you fancy an Iced White Chocolate Mocha!
But you don’t fancy…
- Waiting in a long queue for your drink
- Forking out £4 plus for your drink
- Adding another plastic cup to landfill sites
But don’t worry – you haven’t got to! Find out how to make the Iced White Chocolate Mocha at home and enjoy your favourite creamy coffee drink any time you like! It’s super simple, sumptuously sweet and soooo much better than shop bought!

What is an Iced White Chocolate Mocha?
An Iced White Chocolate Mocha is a luscious combination of coffee, milk, ice and homemade white chocolate sauce. It’s like a caffè mocha (espresso, chocolate syrup, steamed milk) but ice cold instead of cosy and hot.
The coffee balances the sometimes-too-sweet sweetness of the white chocolate, while still allowing its Milky Bar Kid creaminess to shine bright. This isn’t a devilishly dark, 71% cocoa iced dark chocolate mocha, after all. This is your cheeky-sweet Iced White Chocolate Mocha!
An iced mocha is made with roughly:
- 10% chocolate sauce
- 40% coffee
- 40% milk
- 10% whipped cream on top (more if you like!)

Iced White Chocolate Mocha Caffeine Content
All of the caffeine in your Iced White Chocolate Mocha comes from the espresso. The caffeine content of espresso changes depending on the weight of coffee in your shot and the type of beans you used. But, in general, one shot of espresso contains 63mg of caffeine.
So, that means the caffeine content of your Iced White Chocolate Mocha is around 63mg.

No Espresso Machine at Home? No Problem!
Don’t pass on this Iced White Mocha recipe if you haven’t got an espresso machine at home. That’s not got to stop you! Here are three alternatives to make sure you can satisfy your sweet tooth however you like to brew:
Extra Strong Coffee
If you haven’t got an espresso machine, simply brew coffee very strongly in your favourite device. You can do this by using more ground coffee and leaving the coffee and water to steep together for longer. Then, use 30-60 ml of coffee, depending on how strong you want your White Iced Mocha.

Moka pot
The Moka pot coffee maker is ideal for espresso coffee fans. This trendily octagonal device makes strong, syrupy coffee on the stove. You can drink Moka pot coffee on its own (just like you would with an espresso) or use it in coffee drinks like mochas and cappuccinos.
No Coffee At All
We know it’s rare, but sometimes you just don’t fancy coffee. Still want an iced mocha, though? Can do! Just omit the espresso and proceed.
Is it the caffeine that’s causing the problem? Why not make your white mocha with our chemical-free speciality decaf? It’s lush!
