Order a Starbucks Peppermint Mocha, and you get a chocolatey coffee made with mocha sauce (not real chocolate, fyi) and peppermint-flavoured syrup. It’ll be topped with creamy and sprinkles, and probably served in a single-use cup. It’s nice (other than the single-use bit), but not nice nice. Not like the homemade Peppermint Mocha you’re gonna make!
Peppermint Mocha Ingredients

The premium hot chocolate flakes are the star of the show. Unlike powdered hot choc, our dreamy hot choc is made with 71% cocoa flakes of real chocolate. This is the real deal, folks! Not like that mocha sauce stuff.
Milk comes next. For true mocha mastery, we recommend whole milk rather than semi-skimmed. Dairy free? Try oat milk for a creamy consistency.

PEPPERMINT MOCHA RECIPE
- Double shot espresso or approx. 60ml strongly brewed coffee
- 20g Two Chimps Hot Chocolate Flakes
- 250ml whole milk or non-dairy alternative
- 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Whipped cream, chocolate sauce and sprinkles, to decorate
- A large mug
- Make your espresso or strongly brewed coffee and pour it into your mug
- Pour the milk into a pan and add the Two Chimps Hot Chocolate Flakes. Pop it over a medium heat and heat until the chocolate flakes have melted, and the milk is nice and warm. Whisk regularly.
- Stir the peppermint extract into the chocolatey milk.
- Slowly pour the milk into the mug, finishing with the foam.
- Top with cream, chocolate sauce and sprinkles. Stir before enjoying!
