Based on the original design of the 1933 Moka Pot, the Bialetti Moka Express is quite rightly a staple in every home. This iconic stovetop coffee maker boasts the famous Bialetti ‘little man with the mustache’ logo. This logo is a tribute to the Italian businessman, Renato Bialetti, who made the stovetop famous.
The Moka Pot produces a rich, espresso style coffee in just a few minutes. The pot, made from aluminium, boasts Bialetti’s distinctive eight-sided shape. This allows the heat to diffuse perfectly, enhancing the aroma of your coffee.
When brewing coffee through a Bialetti Moka Pot, we suggest using recently boiled water in the chamber, rather than cold. This will allow for a quicker extraction time, allowing the coffee to shine and find its natural sweet spot. Using this method should leave some if not all of the bitterness behind.
The 1 cup Bialetti Moka Express holds 60ml, the 3 cup holds 200ml, whilst the 6 cup holds 300ml. Enough water to make one, three or six cups of espresso style coffee respectively. A tailored experience is easily achievable by changing your grind and quantity of coffee in the middle chamber.
