While this coffee tastes awesome in every device, our favourites are a filter or cafetiere.

Behind the Scenes
This particular blend is made from a classic profile Brazilian coffee full of beautiful, smooth chocolate, with a cheeky sugarcane decaffeinated Colombian that adds a rich sweet acidity reminiscent of raisins.
The sugarcane decaffeination process uses an organic compound found in the sugar cane – a crop that is readily available in Colombia. This compound bonds with caffeine, removing it from the beans but leaving all the great flavours intact.
The Brazilian half of this blend was grown by Jordana and Vivian, two skilled farmers growing coffee in the Cerrado Mineiro region where the mineral-rich soil and steady climate give coffees a distinct and delicious profile.
The Colombian half was sourced from seven small coffee farms in Huila, Colombia’s premier coffee growing region. It’s home to mineral rich volcanic soil loved by arabica plants.

What is Half-Caf?
This is a blend of one caffeinated and one decaffeinated coffee, carefully selected by our head roaster to complement each other, creating a great tasting cup with half the caffeine of a regular brew.
-
Roasting
Speciality coffees are full of – brimming with – flavour. Skilled farmers put a tremendous amount of love and care into growing the best crop and we, your roaster, want to do them proud! That’s why we freshly roast by hand in small batches to bring the very best out of each coffee.
When green (unroasted) coffee reaches us, we test it regularly for moisture and density and store it safely in our moisture-controlled roastery. We then create a bespoke roasting recipe, which we tailor and tweak as we go along. This makes sure every roast is bang-on! We never over-roast our coffee. Who wants bitterness and overpowering strength? No, only sweet, smooth and creamy coffees come out of the TC roaster!
-
Why buy speciality coffee from us?
We pay between 30 and 150% more for our coffee than the going rate. This ensures that smallholder farmers get the support, training, facilities and income they deserve. We’re also a carbon-neutral roastery, which means your lovely cup of speciality coffee is kind to the planet! Top marks!
We couldn’t do it without you, so thank you for choosing Two Chimps Coffee. -
Where does the name come from?
This is not your average unicorn – this two-horned unicorn has caffeinated powers and decaffeinated powers – magical!
