You’ll get the opportunity to roast your own coffee using the fantastic Aillio Bullet R1, a fantastic little roaster that can produce up to 1 kg of beans in under 12 minutes, resulting in incredibly delicious specialty coffee that we absolutely love.

With guidance from Head Chimp Andy, you’ll learn all the tips and tricks to roast your beans exactly how you like them. And the best part? You’ll get to take home your freshly roasted coffee for a taste test!

  The Aillio Bullet R1 roaster

  The Aillio Bullet R1 is a 1kg capacity, induction-powered drum coffee roaster designed in Denmark. This roaster is 75% more efficient than any other roaster of this capacity due to its induction-powered design, which directly heats the drum. An infrared bean temperature sensor (IBTS) means you can flawlessly track the bean’s temperature, ensuring that you can keep track of the roasting process.

   

  What happens on the course?

  This course will include an introduction to coffee, breaking down the different types of beans, what speciality coffee is, the roasting process and how to roast yourself! At the end of the course you will walk away with two 500g bags of speciality coffee (as whole beans or ground to whatever preference) and a whole new outlook on the world of coffee.
