Hill Top Farm Shop – Melton Mowbray
Shop for fresh local produce at this brand new farm shop based in rural Melton Mowbray.
As well as shopping for your everyday essentials such as fresh farm eggs and freshly baked bread, you can also buy an awesome speciality coffee, freshly roasted less than 10 miles away!
On 9th July 2020, Hill Top Farm Shop opened it’s doors to the public. Hill Top Farm overlooks the stunning countryside, and there’s an outdoor area to bring your kids to play with plenty of animals to see; not to mention the well-stocked farm shop full of fresh, local produce.
Every item has been expertly handpicked by Bernice. She has 23 years of retail experience in total, making her the best candidate to manage this new venture!
Love Local
Her extensive knowledge of local food & drink means that the shelves are stocked with fantastic artisan products from all around the county. There’s Hambleton Bakery bread and cakes, Round Corner’s craft beers, Hill Top Farm’s home produced lamb and of course Two Chimps freshly roasted Coffee.
With a fab selection of our coffees, in whole bean and ground, there is something to choose for everyone. Our medium roast from Brazil, ‘I’m a Natural’ works particularly well in a cafetiere. Whilst our medium-dark roast from Colombia, ‘Livin’ the Dream’ is great for espresso.
We only ever roast to order for our wholesale coffee customers, so they know that every time they receive an order, it’s as fresh as it possibly can be. And because we hand deliver for free, Hill Top Farm Shop can order fresh each week and they’ll never have to pay any postage for freshly roasted coffee.
With only a few weeks of being open, the Hill Top team have done brilliantly and are constantly busy. With government guidelines in place to protect customers, they’ve created a safe environment. This means customers are returning and telling their friends. The reviews are excellent with the majority of positive comments about how nice the shop and setting is, the locally made food & drink and value for money.
Not Just a Farm Shop
With the great weather we’ve had, their socially distanced outdoor seating area is always buzzing, as well as the secure under and over 5’s play areas, perfect for allowing parents to sit & enjoy an ice cream from the local dairy farm, Thaymar in Notts.

When Bernice is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing at home and travelling to new places, as well as always being on the lookout for new products for her shop!
