Forget a cuppa tea with your Chippy T, try a coffee instead!
Chris is currently Livin’ the Dream serving freshly roasted coffee alongside his freshly fried Fish n Chips.
Set in the heart of Lincolnshire, Market Deeping is a typical 17th Century English market town. Their market dates back to 1220 along with their beautiful stone buildings.
Linford’s has been trading since 1989, although Chris only purchased the business from Pat & Paul Linford in May 2019. He has had a very eventful 1st year!
As his first job working here, Chris fell in love with the fast-paced nature of working in a quality fish & chip shop as well as working alongside a quality team of people.
Award Winning
This multi-award-winning Fish & Chip shop and restaurant is named after the previous owners. Chris has kept the name due to its infamy in the area. Linford’s has recently been chosen as one of the top 10 Fish & Chip restaurants in the UK! Awesome!
They ethically source all of their fish from the well managed and sustainable waters of The Barents Sea, The North Atlantic and the Faroe Islands. They use the UK’s biggest importer of frozen fish and are MSC certified by the National Fisheries Authorities, Governments and EU.
Also, they offer high-quality food, friendly service in a clean environment. You won’t be able to resist their family’s secret recipe batter that gives their fish a traditional flavour.
At Linfords, they love to support local charities and as many local businesses as possible who can supply them with the best and freshest ingredients around.
For example, they now stock craft beer from Round Corner brewing. Their potatoes are locally grown 10 miles away at Dyke Fen Farm. They use pies from Grasmere farm and now, they serve Two Chimps Coffee!
Coffee n’ Chips
Chris contacted us back in June asking if we could supply wholesale coffee for use in his shop as he already loved our coffee and wanted a local supplier. We got in touch, sent some samples his way and the rest, as they say, is history!
Chris chose our Medium/Dark Colombian coffee ‘Livin’ the Dream’ as he and his wife loved the butterscotch sweetness and sugary aftertaste with the high grapefruit acidity finish. Like the fish at Linford’s, our coffee has also been ethically sourced and is always hand roasted fresh to order. It tastes perfect through Chris’s espresso machine served as a delicious hot drink alongside a Top 10 plate of Fish n Chips!
When Chris isn’t running an award-winning chip shop, you’ll find him running elsewhere. He loves to train and compete in triathlons such as Iron man but unfortunately, this year’s Austrian Iron Man was postponed due to Covid-19. One of his other hobbies is coffee!
As well as serving Two Chimps Coffee at Linford’s, Chris also has a home subscription with us. So, no matter where he is, he always gets to drink freshly roasted, awesome tasting coffee!
